Nigerians Should Not Get Excited About The Sharing Of Abacha’s Loot – Daddy Freeze

The FG announced a few hours ago that the stolen Abacha loot recovered will be shared between Nigerians. This got many excited as they hope they will be getting a substantial amount to at least fend for themselves. However, controversial media personality, Daddy Freeze, has released a calculation which tells just how much each poor Nigerian will receive should the money be shared.  He wrote; ”The Federal Government has announced plan to disburse $322million fund repatriated from the accounts of former Head of State, late General Sani Abacha in Switzerland to Nigerians. National Coordinator of the Open Government Partnership (OGP), Nigeria and Special Assistant to the President on Justice Reforms, Juliet Ibekaku-Nwagwu made the disclosure in a chat with journalists. DON’T GET EXCITED GUYS. Let’s do some arithmetic. Money to be shared = $322,000,000 No of poor in Nigeria, according to world Poverty report…… =86,949,928 If we divide the Abacha loot by the number of poor Nigerians $322,000,000/86,949,928 =$3.703280812377441 Approximately $3.70 or =N=1,300. There are so many poor people here that for us to share $10 dollars to each person we will need like $1billion…Our poor people will only be able to recharge their phones and buy data to insult those who gave them less than 1k5. My suggestion: lets build 10 STANDARD subsidized secondary schools for $10m each and 10 STANDARD universities for &10m each. With $122 we can build 12 standard hospitals across Nigeria for $10m each.  Photo Credit: Daddy Freeze
