Bill Cosby Sentenced To 3 To 10 Years In Prison For Sexual Assault

Comedian, Bill Cosby was sentenced on Tuesday, 25th September 2018, to three to ten years in SCI Phoenix State Prison, Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania judge, who presided over the case, labelled him a “sexually violent predator.”
The two-day hearing was attended by about a dozen women who have accused The 81-years-old of sexual assault and this included Andrea Constand.  Adrea was assaulted in Cosby’s suburban Philadelphia home in 2004 and this led to his conviction.

Cosby’s bail appeal from his defence attorneys was rejected by Judge Steven O’Neill who ordered that the accused should serve in “total confinement” for “no less than 3 years and no more than 10 years”. The Judge also called Cosby’s misconduct a “planned predation” and noted that Cosby never showed any sign of remorse whatsoever, and have never sought any form of psychological counsel since he was initially accused.
Adrea and her family apparently had a huge impact on the Judge’s decision. Judge O’Neill mentioned that “I put a high degree of weight on the impact of the victim and her family,” and her victim statement swayed the pendulum of justice in her favour.
In the statement, which was released Tuesday 25th September 2018, Andrea poured out her sorrow in writing:
“Bill Cosby took my beautiful, healthy young spirit and crushed it. He robbed me of my health and vitality, my open nature, and my trust in myself and others.”
Cosby was asked by the Judge if he wanted to make a final statement before he passed his judgment but the convict declined to say anything.
Social Media has reacted well to the sentencing and once again, Bill Cosby’s Walk of Fame Star has been defaced. This perpetration was due to the fact that Hollywood has refused to take down the once loved “America’s Dad” Walk of Fame Star. This led to the Star being defaced once again with the words “Serial Rapist”.
